What can we do?
We aim to provide software to help teachers streamline their work by grading free-form essays and generating student reports and institutional data.
Providing peer feedback
Students were assigned the responsibility of presenting in front of their peers to hone their presentation skills. The audience, comprising fellow students, was encouraged to provide evaluations and feedback for the individuals presenting. This feedback was conveniently gathered using Google Forms. Involving students in this evaluative process not only fosters a sense of responsibility and agency but also encourages a critical mindset, beneficial for refining their presentation prowess. When students take on the role of evaluators, they can pinpoint areas of improvement. By offering suggestions to presenters, they also internalize best practices themselves.
The feedback received is usually anonymous. Through the use of generative AI and algorithmic summarization tools, raw feedback is categorized, summarized, and presented to the presenter in a cohesive paragraph, ensuring the commenter's identity remains concealed.
Another distinct advantage of this approach is the presentation of feedback in a positive and constructive manner. Traditionally, it often falls upon educators to craft feedback with care and positivity, representing a singular viewpoint. In this innovative method, however, feedback emerges as a consensus – a collective perspective that's summarized to highlight common areas for improvement, all delivered with a positive undertone. This approach presents a unique opportunity to effectively crowdsource opinions and feedback, identify overlapping areas for betterment, and redistribute the insights seamlessly.
This novel method of offering improvement suggestions is indeed groundbreaking. For a deeper understanding of the process and procedures involved, please feel free to reach out to us.
