What can we do?

We aim to provide software to help teachers streamline their work by grading free-form essays and generating student reports and institutional data.

Grading for a class of 200 students

Teachers spend countless hours grading free-form essay responses from students. For a free response reflective assignment, each student is tasked with writing a 200-300 word response reflecting on learning. In a conventional grading workflow, this would result in approximately 20 hours of grading for a class of 200 students (5 minutes per student). However, using our AI-powered grading automation tool reduces this time-consuming process to just over 30 minutes while maintaining accuracy. Teachers can then focus on evaluating categories and giving more qualitative feedback, saving time and effort for both educators and students.

Features:

  • Automated Grading: Leverage AI to assess the appropriateness of students' answers in real-time.

  • Fast Turnaround: Grade assignments 35x faster than traditional methods.

  • High Accuracy: Rely on machine learning algorithms to provide precise, consistent results.

  • Segmentation: Automatically group students into six categories based on length of writing and relevancy of answer for easier evaluation.

Benefits:

  • Teachers can focus on more strategic educational tasks rather than spend long hours grading.

  • Gain insights into student performance through segmented categories, making it easier for teachers to provide targeted support.

  • Accelerate the grading process while retaining high-quality results, ensuring that feedback is delivered in a timely manner.

Workflow:

  • Students submit their essays via the platform.

  • The AI-powered tool grades the essay, assessing the relevancy and appropriateness of the response and providing a summative score.

  • The system groups students into six categories based on their answers' selected features.

  • Teachers review the AI grading results, making any necessary adjustments before releasing the final grades to students.
